"Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever."
A couple years ago Activiv CEO, Lorenzo Martir, became spokesperson for the Caribbean's largest animal sanctuary,
Santuario Canita. This sanctuary provides shelter for abused and homeless dogs, and requires massive amounts of labor to provide a good home filled with abundance of food and health providers. Which is why we volunteered during this summer to lend a helping "paw".

Carmen, co- founder of
Santuario Canita, takes on a huge responsibility to making sure the innumerable amount of dogs get fed daily. Majority of donations goes toward buying dog food, which adds up to be hundreds of pounds!

The dogs at Canita's come from all different types of backgrounds. Some have been found on the road abandoned by their owners, malnutritioned and abused. Special veterinarians at the sanctuary are in charge of putting them back to health but we believe that Carmen's individual loving care to each of these animals is what really puts them back in good shape. She devotes 100% of her time and efforts to making these unfortunate dogs feel loved for and taken excellent care of. It's because of this devoted and selfless behavior that it has caught the attention of our team and we are proud to donate our time every year to this selfless cause.
